I think it should be more to choose between. Like the OS, if it where some alternatives there, u could choose one who is made more for just ur needings. One could be much better in one way, but someone else could be better to something else.
And it would also be some other place to get things from. There u could get like Viruses etc.
And 1 more thing I want is to change the passwords on a system. Why not even so U can make new users.
What do U think?

and the rest i kinda get what your saying but the only virus realy in the game is revelation and you cannot use viruses to crash systems etc and whats the point of changing the pass?

well instantConnection has a point about teh password changing thig as in teh user records. The fact is that they dont work althow they, I think, ware ment to be able to view the suers from a machine and change the passwords. The only user record that actulay does work is the bank one but works 50% as in u again cant change the passwords. And maybe you can create like backdoors in sistems that has many user, u can add ure own and give ureself security 1 and so have admin access for a time until the admin figures it out.
In my game I just finished making this system with the possibility of adding users, changing passwords or deleteing users if you have the UID 0 as in root access.

lol ok . You know when in Uplink u hack a machine ? and u click the user records button and there is only one user there (the admin) and u cant do anything there ? Well fix that so that there motr users and u can chage theyr passwords

Variety.
I've always thought it to be a bit odd that you can't break into a system, change the password on a regular account, erase the log of the change, and then log back out. Then, when things have calmed down a bit, log back into the system with the regular account.
If you could adjust the permissions for the accounts as well, it could be a very useful technique.
