Get the full version of Uplink

Postby WalterCool » Wed Jul 13, 2011 6:56 am

Hi there to everyone

I have bought 2 month ago Uplink via Ubuntu Store, it's a great game, but I'm using Gentoo too on my computer.

Can I get the Uplink binary installer if I bought it via Ubuntu Store? Because Gentoo ebuild (installer) can't work with the deb file downloaded on Ubuntu Store.

Thanks

Maybe this is of help: http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-p-5934665.html

Of course, you should backup the .deb well. It may not be easy to re-download without Ubuntu.

Yeah, I can alien-ize too, but the ebuild (gentoo installer) requires an ISO version of Uplink =\ Or Data files.

Well, then don't use the ebuild, install it manually.

It's ok install it using an ISO and then replace data files from my deb files?

I wouldn't know, just try it. Where would you get the ISO from? The demo isn't an ISO, IIRC.
