i tried the irc soft in the game and set right .but i can't see anyone online.
my firewall is ok.
how can i chat with others?thanks for your answer.

The built-in IRC client is pretty terrible; if you need help, just look in the Ultimate Uplink Guide, in my sig.

if i remember correctly the irc server has changed from what was standard on uplink to a new one

im fairly sure there is a patch for it somewhere
