Uplink will not install on Ubuntu 9.10

I just bought the game.
I get this error when I try to run the downloaded .sh file:

error while loading shared libraries: libgtk-1.2.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory


I tried to do a "sudo apt-get install libgtk-1.2" but that didn't work either, it was not found. So I started synaptic, and I couldn't find it there either, but I had libgtk-2.0 installed tough.[/code]

I got it to work now. I just downloaded the packages for another ubuntu distro, and that worked.

I have the same problem as you had, but I can't find the packages anywhere - do you have any ideas?
