Backup files not deleted - can't complete missions, HELP! :)

First, I'm playing Onlink, so that might matter. But I'm sure many of us are playing it.
Mission is to delete file and all backups. This is what I do:
1) Hack company, delete file
2) take down the system (console, cd usr, delete, cd log, delete, cd sys, delete, shutdown, success)
3) Return email, and get notification that I didn't delete backups.
News says that a hacker damaged a terminal.
I'm guessing I'm missing something and it's not a glitch. Can someone tell me what else I need to do please?
