I had a question about Gateway mods

Ok im running windows 8 64bit and the game runs fine (Which is 1.31 btw) but I cant get any of the gateway mods to showup in game... I know where they go. They go in Uplink---> Data folder--->Gateway--->
And then theres the gateway in text form and of course you have your graphics for it but when I go in game and I goto Gateways its not there...

Can anyone help?? Its really odd that it doesn't showup
