Whenever I buy a 32G memory upgrade, I get a 200 GHz CPU upgrade instead. All the in-game emails mention getting a CPU upgrade. When the hardware is installed, it's a CPU upgrade. I've tried this twice with the same result.
Then I tried buying a 24G memory upgrade. I got a 32G upgrade instead.
Then I tried buying a 24G memory upgrade again, so I could see how much money it takes out of my account, to give a better bug report. That time I got a 24G memory upgrade.
I'm playing Uplink at patch level 1.55 on Windows 7 32-bit. Before the bug-induced buying spree above, I had a ZION-780 series workstation with stock parts from the Gateway ALPHA 1CPU, except I had a 200 GHz CPU.
I Googled but didn't find anything relevant. Is this a known bug? Is there a reliable workaround? Is Uplink still being patched?
Thanks.
