Graphic problems - 1920x1080

So, I just bought the game and when I open it the graphics are horrible.

If I put 1920x1080 resolution in the game, it becomes horrible, both in full screen and window mode.

I've been reading about the recent similar problems but it seems that none of the solutions work.

I've already tried going to Properties -> Compability and changing the DPI option, tried running it in compability mode with Windows 8 and tried going to the preferences.txt but it all seems correct until I launch the game.

Any suggestions? Thanks!

I had this problem except my monitor just turned off, I restarted my pc, it still didn't work. So I went to setting and changed the resolution of my monitor to another resolution then set it back to 1920x1080 and it temporarily fixed the problem. I hope this helps you.
