Game has stopped launching, and Library files gone (OS X)

Hi there,
My game stopped launching completely today. I get a blank screen and it's stuck on "Application Not Responding".
All of my files in Library/Application Support have disappeared. There isn't even a Prison Architect folder in there anymore, and I have no idea why.
The last time I played the game was yesterday, and one issue I had was my battery ran out and it went to sleep. I plugged it in, brought it back to life and saved the game. This has happened at least a dozen times in the past without it being an issue. My save files always worked fine afterwards.
Please help me recover my save files, or tell me if this has happened to you and what I can do to fix it.
