startup crash

whenever i try to play PA, it crashes almost as soon as I launch it. safe mode, and regular. does not generate a crash dump. tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and verifying files. tried deleting preferences, no dice.

Same problem! I can Launch in safe mode, but not in standard mode, its really ticking me off. No crash dump or anything, just this:

yours ins probably a setting or mod issue.



A: I actually never had any mods installed (and deleted mods folder), unless there is another location I don't think this could be the case.

B: I removed all the files inside appdata/local/introvision/prisonarchitect, still no go

C: updated drivers, still no go

D: deleted local cache and reinstalled, still no go.

i got it to work again when i killed AMD gaming evelved. seems to be a known issue on their end

Ugh... windows defender is pretty bad for causing game conflicts. I use Avast and rarely have issues with it and there is currently no issues between PA and Avast as far as I know.

As far as the Gaming Evolved app... you might wanna check for a conflict with any kind of gaming apps from the manufacturer of your video card. It might also be a conflict with PlaysTV app.

Actually I realized I didn't have windows defender, I had security essentials, and even when i turned it off it didn't work, Also I have an Nvidia Card, so gaming evolved and PlaysTV app are not the problem.

its not the antivirus,I turned it off and did not work, so delete it and went back to install, disable antivirus 10 min and run, but was closed after a while, I returned to delete it and no longer was.
  It must be a error
