glitch? stuck with extremely tiny menus

Hi, hope someone knows how to un-stuck the game
Just bought it today, was playing and having some trouble with the camera views - I'm playing on a laptop, no independent mouse available at the moment, when I hit "-" and the menus got smaller. Now they are stuck at their minimum (which is extremely small!!!) and it doesn't respond to clicking "+" as in theory should. So it's almost impossible to play as I can't read a single thing and I have no clue which material I'm selecting, which object, etc.

You can change it manually in the preferences.txt. (Win7]: C:\Users\your-username\AppData\Local\Introversion\Prison Architect)

with + and - at the main keyboard you can change the size of the interface.

but my problem is that it doesn't respond to "+" that's why I'm stuck with those silly tiny, tiny menus

I'm also on Mac and found that if I hold down Shift to get the +, it doesn't work. If I just press = then it does work.
