Too lag / freezing game. please help me!

Hello friends.

Wear some time playing a prison architect and the game is very addictive. I am experiencing a problem that is impossible to play well. The game freezes every 4-5 seconds for another 4-5 seconds. My prison has 50 inmates and have tried lots of things (remove nodes, remove connections doors / cameras ... remove patrols ...) My computer is an AMD 8 cores with 8 GB ram and now I WIN 7 (not sure if this can cause problems). I need urgent help !!

I've tried everything and nothing, even install ubuntu on my computer and is exactly the same. I'm desperate

Unistall the game THEN launch the game THEN verify the game files (using steam)

Yesterday I installed Ubuntu on my PC and everything was still exactly the same. Today I took a step further and install the game on my brother's laptop (Lenovo i7 6Gb ram Win 7 64 bit) ... when I load my imprisonment Reproduce the problem. It was exactly the same problem (every 3 sec, froze another 3 sec) No longer do. Did anyone else has the same problem) I tried with 3 computer and nothing, is this normal? . The designers are aware of this huge problem? I forget the game for a while, so I can not play, it's impossible.

It seems that the save could be leaking memory OR a save corruption. Theres really nothing that can fix it but the game is improving stability and Increased calculation management

Out of interest how big is your prison?

my prison have 100 prisoners aprox. and before i have other prison that had 80 prisoners ... Every prison are small. Today will install in my laptop ( win XP Dual core 3 Gm ram 32 Bit) and i hope that it,s ok.

I have an 8 core AMD and 16 gb of ram. I experience no lag so I don't think it is your hardware.


Are you using your gpu to mine bitcoins or anything? I do get some lag when I run boinc on my gpu at the same time as playing.


Another option is to start a new prison. Does it still happen?

I am getting this happening to me as well.

It has been fine for the months I have been playing this game, but since the last update it always happens, no matter the map size, the amount of workshops, prisoners or staff I have guaranteed at some point it freeze for 2-3 seconds carries on for 2-3 seconds then freezes again..

It's driving me crazy as it is not playable like this.

This is also with no mods, cheats, hacks or anything else just the game in it's original form.

I have a similar problem. The game will freeze my whole system. Doesn't do it on the same hardware in Windows 10. It's an older build, but this game honestly doesn't seem as hardware intensive as it turns out to be. Specs are AMD Athlon X2 6400+, 8GB DDR2, Asus M3N72-D mobo, nVidia GTS250 1G, display 1980x1020 OS's are Ubuntu Linux v16.04 and Windows 10, both 64bit. The game ends up eating 100% of my CPU in Linux (again, that game doesn't seem intense enough to actually be doing this). I can run SimCity 3K Ultimate in Wine on this thing flawlessly. Not to mention games like The Talos Principle in medium settings, and HL2 and it's episodes, Portal, Portal 2, @1980x1020 on max settings. In Windows 10 I can run original Skyrim at medium settings @1980x1020. Is there a workaround or patch for this issue that anyone is aware of?
