What cool stuff have you found in the game that you enjoyed?

I didn't realize there were lock levels on the door and my prisoners kept stealing knifes out of the kitchen area. I also liked building stuff and realizing that it was crap and wouldn't work out, then starting over and fixing my mistakes, eventually learning how to make an ok prison. I realize there are a lot of bugs right now, but what other things are people finding fun?

That's how I feel playing the Sims, except this is more interesting and slightly devious. You aren't building them a luxury castle that they should like, but something they should tolerate and not be able to kill each other.
