If it wasn't IV, how many of you would play this game?

I might. I've been looking for a DF style game with a better UI and easier learning curve. If this is such, and it delivers, it would be on my radar.

I might have been a bit pensive if it was coming from a publisher like Valusoft, but coming from an indie developer and with the Dwarf Fortress and Bullfrog influences this would have got my attention even if IV weren't the developers.

DF has been the dedicated work of a mathematical genius for over a decade and it's intention is to generate & simulate an entire fantasy world. Nothing is going to be as deep as DF, probably ever. That doesn't mean PA won't be a whole lot of fun!

I don't expect it to be. I have neither the time nor the inclination to learn a game as dense and obtuse as DF, so I'd be happier if something in a similar vein but more accessible came along.

Yea, I understand, I guess I should have said, to be more clear, I am a little worried PA will be deep ENOUGH to be enjoyable over a longer time-frame.

Of course I would have - I've been addicted to the "Theme _____" and city building games since childhood. The first preview trailer alone was enough to sell the deal for me. :D

Yes, because I play tons of city-building RTS games: Caesar 3/Rise of the Middle Kingdom/Children of the Nile/Dwarf Fortress/Gnomoria.

This. I love building and management sims - Theme Park, Theme Hospital, Dungeon Keeper, Evil Genius... All favourites of mine. Hoping that PA will scratch that Bullfrog itch.

Well if done right i would.

i still to this day, remember mostly the time i had as a kid when i played Theme Park and theme hospital by Bullfrog, to me this game is almost upthere, and Dungeon Keeper!.

And it has a chance to be that good quality towards the final project. i really hope they have a lot of good ideas and stuff.

I still love this type of game and sadly not a lot of people makes them anymore not in this style.

The whole rollercoaster tycoon crap, i didn like those games, they were just missing something.

Game definitely needs some very good music that you can listen to for hours and hours on end, Very important in this type of game.

I wouldn't pre-order the game if it weren't made by IV.

I also played with it a bit at Rezzed, so it was easy to make the decision.

The gaming industry really lacks these kind of simulation games.. so I'd definatley give it a go. I haven't played a great simulation game since RCT3 and that was like almost 10 years ago.
