Speedy research?

Postby coolsi » Fri Dec 24, 2004 11:28 am

One thing the Linux beta is missing is the instant research as found in the Win32 beta - where you can just right-click the research items and they'll go straight up to the highest level. This would help finding bugs, because I'm sure no one has bothered spending all the time needed to research everything to their highest levels...

From what I've heard, it was taken out of the win32 beta 4 as well.

So it has...but it would still be useful for these early stages of beta testing...the Win32 version is a bit more advanced than this one.

Research levels?

Postby tjwhaynes » Fri Dec 31, 2004 6:36 am

Without cheating, the most I've ever seen on the demo level is the darwinians up to 2.0 and the bar maybe half full to the next level. Is that just an indication that I'm letting too many darwinians be killed during the level or should I try and harvest the lives created by the triffids to boost the darwinian numbers higher (and get more research?)

Cheers,
Toby Haynes
