Lot's of glitches with ati binary drivers

Postby lemonade » Tue Dec 21, 2004 8:18 pm

Took few captures that include few clitches there are with ati binary drivers. There are lot of more clitches during game but it's not easy to capture them on screenshots. :)

Ok, here we go:

What are you using to capture?

I used import, because P-command from game removes some stuff (part of glitches for example)

And addition to that glitch-problem, it got fixed when moving preferences.txt from ~/.darwinia to ~/.darwinia/demo.

issue fixed with my drivers

Postby daedalus » Sat Dec 25, 2004 3:08 pm

i had this issue on the both beta 4c and beta 4d. but on beta 4d the preferences.txt is created and saved. by changing
RenderLandscapeUsingDisplayLists = 0
to
RenderLandscapeUsingDisplayLists = 1
mine stopped having those glitches.

I have found this problem happens on my machine as well with beta 4f. The frequency of the glitches was much reduced by enabling the RenderLandscapeUsingDisplayLists option, but they still happen occasionally. Mainly white triangles flashing in the corners of the screen, and sections of water vanishing for a moment.
