Introversion

Since recently getting a new display, I changed the resolution in Darwinia to 1080p with the result of getting a constant black screen. The sound is working and it also seems like the game is running although there is no screen output. How can this be resolved?

Go to where you installed Darwinia, open preferences.txt and look for a line that says "ScreenWindowed = 0", change it to 1. Then try launching the game, see if it works and try fiddling with the settings. Post back here with results.

Thanks for your help! Game runs in 1080p windowed mode (aka Glory Mode!), but when switched to fullscreen, it turns to full blackness (as before). It seems like all the other resolutions work with output in fullscreen. At first the windowed mode seemed a bit bumpy, running between 1 to 60 frames per second, especially when browsing the menus (rendering them almost unusable). I should note that my Mac is not a machine of any significant power either. Settled for 720p instead.
