Panning with the Editor turned on requires two-button mouse

Just a note that panning around when using the editor requires holding down the right mouse button - the regular Mac way of holding down CTL and left-mouse to get right-mouse functions does NOT work, so you cannot use the editor with the standard one-button mouse, nor use the trackpad on a laptop.
