Massive Graphics Problem

Massive Graphics problem!!!!

Hi

I have a problem where darwinia goes mental at the menu (the big internal globe thingy). Basically it doesn't look like a globe. more like a light disco, full of crazy polygons and disproportion lines.

Check out this picture and you'll see. http://i472.photobucket.com/albums/rr86 ... sprobs.jpg

Its just the menu screen. In-game works fine if i manage to randomly click on a location in the world.

At the menu:
Crazy graphics, framerate is about 4-5, with a 3-5 second delay when i move the mouse.

I've tried lowering the graphics but that failed.
WTF is going on here!!! Can someone help. is it my graphics card?

I have a Dell Inspiron 1501 laptop.
Graphics card ATI Radeon Xpress 1150.
1g RAM.
1.4ghz AMD 64 Athlon X2 (dual core)

The problem is your graphics card, and, as far as I know, there is no solution other than to downgrade to Darwinia 1.4.x (I assume that you are running 1.5.x, right?).

You may try updating your graphic drivers, but indeed some low end cards are very buggy and slow.

I don't think that it is "some low end cards" -- the problem seems to be specifically with the ATi Xpress cards.
