Problem with Mods: Phrase Not Found

Postby moneyaddyct007 » Wed Apr 19, 2006 4:54 am

I've loaded several mods: The_Enemy_Within, Insurrection, StrickenSouls and I'm having the same problem with each which makes me think that's its not the mods but rather something on my end. The mods load fine; however, one two things happen after that. Either Dr. Sepulveda shows up and no text is displayed. That is, it's just a blue box that appears with no plot/help text to tell me what to do OR Dr. Sepulveda does not appear and I get the following message: PHRASE NOT FOUND: NAME_in_# with the # changing everytime a new Dr. Sepulveda message is supposed to be shown. What is causing this? Thanks everyone and I await a reply.

Definitely sounds like you're still playing v1.0 of the game, straight off the CD. Windows is up to v1.42, linux is in beta-testing for v1.4x, and the Mac version of v1.4x should be out in a week or two (it's currently at 1.2.2 officially).

1.2 and higher adds text inclusion features that allow text strings to be read from the mod folder - a feature which 1.0 doesn't have, and which most mods do use. You'll have to upgrade.

Windows Patch (1.42)
Linux Patch (1.30)
Linux Patch (beta 1.40b9)

Mac Site (1.2.2)

Thanks for your help. I upgraded to 1.42 and now all mods I've loaded work fine.
