High Detail Virii - not so high detail?

High Detail Virii - not so high detail?
I've taken two screenshots to compare, and the only difference I can see is that the fronts seem to have more lighting in high detail. Is there meant to be anything else, or is that option just there for people with low spec PCs who want fewer lights?
