Darwinia on Steam

Hey, i was wondering whether you can use Darwinia mods on the steam version of the game?

This would be really helpful to know.

Yes you can.

I believe there are some installation instructions for mods near the end of the faq.

Yes, but they don't show up in the Steam games list like HL1/2 mods do. They work exactly like the retail, you activate it in the game.

You should have known this, assuming you finished the game..

I haven't finished the game yet :P I was told by a friend about Darwinia and the mod capabilities but i wasn't quite sure...

Okay and for campaingns does they work with steam ?

Yes. Darwinia on Steam works EXACTLY like it does in retail. Nothing more, nothing less. (Well, there is a little something more because Mac & Linux lack one cool update, but it's exactly the same as the retail Windows version)

I think most (if not all) mods for Darwinia are new campaigns. So I would say yes, given what's been said above.
