Darwinia (and DEFCON) Mods Compatible with Steam?

Postby AC_PureRage » Sun Jul 01, 2007 3:32 am

As stated in the title, I just need to know if Darwinia and DEFCON mods are compatible with the Steam versions of the game. I recall reading on the Uplink forums that people could not install mods such as the FBI Mod on their Steam release of the game, and I hope to load my copies of Darwinia and DEFCON with heaps of mods, possibly including some of my own. So before I make my purchase, can someone enlighten me on this?

Thanks. :D

While I don't know about Darwinia, all DEFCON mods are fully compatible with both Steam and non-Steam versions.

Here is a topic that explains where they need to be placed in the folder:

Darwinia mods can be used with the Steam version, though it is a bit more complicated than with the non-Steam version -- it basically comes down to where you put the files: either in some obscure Steam directory; or in the same directory as Darwinia. More information can be found in the FAQ that is stickied in the "Gameplay Discussion" subforum.
