So anyways, the current Confirmation Code code has got to go.
You need to rip out the part that puts letters like L partially offscreen (I typed I instead of L, assuming it wasn't L, and I got it wrong.)
You need to use fonts where 1 and I and 0 and O aren't ambiguous (or avoid using them entirely, preferentially)
When the letters overlap and it makes them look like entirely different letters, that's a BAD thing.
See, Humans have Pattern Recognition Buffers in them too, and we don't like it when WE get it wrong repeatedly.
I don't care how many different fonts you use. I can tell an Olde English W from a Trebuchet W from a Biometric Joe W. I don't care how much you tilt the number 4, I'm still going to be able to tell it's a 4... But using ambiguous letters and obscuring the ambiguous letters is not good PR.
