No, it wouldn't be me. The dollar is currently rather weak against the British pound sterling, and I can't a days wages for some Darwinia merchandise. I would have gone as high as ~25 pounds (about $50), but more than that is too rich for my blood.

I really wanna snipe, but a) that would be harsh and b) I shouldn't afford it.

A Snipe is any of 18 very similar wading bird species, characterised by a very long slender bill and cryptic plumage.

They search for invertebrates in the mud with a "sewing-machine" action of their long bills.


A Snipe is a bird...guess I'm just an old fart... :)

but if it comes to my home i might be out of it ten minutes later, i can imagine my wife buying an AK-47 , well i can imagine her using it :shock:

Snipe

The verb, i.e. its original meaning "to sharpshoot", was first used by British troops in India in the 18th century in allusion to their hunting snipe as game.

To snipe, as a verb, has been around for a pretty long time. Admittedly, the idea of "sniping" an auction is newer. I guess this comes under the heading of:

"To make malicious, underhand remarks or attacks."

...So just how old do you feel then? ;)
