Actually, no. Please see this:
Here's what firefox users see
Here's what IE users see for the same post as the firefox users above.
I'm not one to use any power without asking first, but your avatar is too large. I'm asking you to resize it or, due to the support in this topic, I'll remove the avatar. You just can't link a 1280x1024, 245.08 KB avatar and expect everyone to swallow it.

i feel like a dumbass, its their fault for using IE! bill gates can **** it and then suck a **** and **** your mom and **** a ****ing stripper ***** and then **** on his cat and try to make love to a ****ing monkey!!!!

eww. damn you for posting that
anyway, another reason not to have a huge avatar is that it makes the user fully download the image no matter what size it appears.
for people on dialup that can really suck. i know, i only just got cable a few months ago
edit: plus, your avatar is only sposed to be like 6KB anyway

NeoThermic: Just out of curiosity, is it possible to enforce avatar sizes via php? i.e. when the page is generated, it checks the avatar size (both in terms of Kb and dimensions), and gets rid of any that are too large?
Not that it has really been much of a problem on these forums, I am just curious.

Yes, but it would slow the forum down with every avatar that appears in the topic, and would use bandwidth quite a bit for everyone involved. Thus is possible, but just not feasable.
Anyway, I don't make idle statements, so Battlefrank, I've removed your avatar for being too large.

They didn't show up for the judging or something, I'm not really clear. We got the prizes from them alright though.Kid Shenck wrote:If I recall correctly, I think the guy who ran it said at one point that IV had "snubbed" them about the contest, so I was just curious if I was making Chris (or more accurately, Tom) sad. I didn't know if anyone had heard anything about that.
