whats the point when all these songs are freeware/shareware?

It was originally intended as a free promotion for PC Gamer readers. People don't like free promotions

What Dave2 said. Also, there was a demand for it, and, the boys at IV, being enterprising young fellows, decided that they would sell a soundtrack (1) to meet that demand and (2) to raise some extra fundage. Remember, Darwinia sold more copies in the first 24 hours on Steam than it since release. IV were looking to find a way to raise funds to avoid becoming defunct.

Um... according to the track listing here, it isn't...

I can't say if it is actually there or not, as I've not had the opportunity to get it yet. (I will eventually. Promise!)

The "Excuses" track isn't available at Trash80's website. Is that what you mean? The other five tracks are online at both artist's websites.

well it must be available at trash80s wensite because i downloaded all of the darwinia songs (and most of the trash80 website) - and I have excuses.
