I just got multiwinia 2 days ago with the indie games sale on steam.

Today, I played a little bit and then quit (normally).

Then, I tried to play Gravitron 2... black screen (but I can hear the menu sounds).
I also tried launching FurMark... black screen (but it shows "running").

Direct3D applications (Left 4 Dead, etc.) work perfectly fine. All OpenGL apps I've tried give a black screen.

I'm using the 182.06 drivers from Nvidia on a XP SP3 32-bit.

I'm pretty sure it's either the drivers or multiwinia not "closing" something in OpenGL properly. I know these drivers are the second set (after the 182.05 beta) which implement OpenGL 3.0 support, so maybe that's the issue?!??

Anyway, it's just a bit annoying. I'm sure it will be fine after I restart my PC. I'll report if it's reproducible or not...

Meanwhile, has anyone had problems with OpenGL apps (including subsequent launches of multiwinia) pretending to work (can hear sounds, quit with alt+f4 or ctl+alt+del) but displaying black where graphics should be (my guess is something not initializing properly) after running multiwinia? Again, XP SP3 32-bit here. 182.06 with a GTX 260 c216 bigger core older PCB...

Sorry it's a bad first post to report a problem straight away, but... that's what is happening.

Nothing really special - everything works as expected, but it's just black. I can hear the menu music / effects just fine, as well as switch the app off with alt+f4. I'll restart my PC later tonight and let you know if I can reproduce this.

I'm really not going to go back in driver revisions, sorry. I'd rather stop playing multiwinia for a while than go back in driver revisions... that's just me. Although it's an awesome game.

Edit: I apologize for the report but it may have been rash. I can't reproduce this at all tonight so it might have been a one-time glitch or something... I'll report back if it appears. Works fine for now.

Edit 2: This is definitely now resolved. I am running Boinc projects 24/7 (distributed computing) and I positively identified them messing up my OpenGL. Shutting down and restarting Boinc fixes it. It's either Seti@home, Rosetta@home or World Community Grid. They display OpenGL visualisations on demand and I assume something bad is happening when they switch (every hour, as I've set it up) with that... anyway, it's not Multiwinia's fault. I apologize. It works perfectly for me. Feel free to close this thread.
