Syncerror on Beyond the Pale with Sgt. Lithnik

Postby bert_the_turtle » Thu Oct 30, 2008 11:40 pm

Or something, terrible memory for names :) It was right at the start. My files:
syncerror_beyond_the_pale.zip

Hopefully, the good Sgt. will find this and post his sync error here.

The server was the Ladder server, I think, but the game wasn't finished, so it doesn't appear on the list.

Well, I said I knew how to get sync error files.
I lied. I really don't. :\ Sorry.

If retail: Start>Program Files>Multiwinia>Open Multiwinia profile. There.
If Steam: Steam Directory>Steam Apps>Common>Multiwinia. There.

Heh :) They're in your profile folder. Start->All Programs->Multiwinia->Open Multiwinia Profile. Look for a file named syncerror-2008-10-30--23-24-clientX-teamY.txt, where X and Y are variable. The date/time stam also depends on your timezone.

That is, if you have the version directly from IV. If you have the Steam version, look into <steam dir>/SteamApps/common/multiwinia.

As usual for start sync errors, no difference in the first block. The second block has large differences, though (the game went on for a couple of seconds when the sync error randomly was considered fixed, but quickly desynced again).

Oh. Forgot to mention, it was Sgt. Lithilk who was marked as out of sync. Team 0's sync value and therefore sync log should have been the same as mine.
