Version 1.2.0 (using Steam)

Postby multiwinner » Fri Oct 24, 2008 9:05 pm

Have recently updated to the new 1.2.0. version in Multiwinia and am now getting an:

"Authentication Status: Version Not Found" error on the first menu screen. However, this error was not appearing before steam downloaded the new version. When trying to join any multiplayer games, I can't find any and get left with "Requesting server list..."

I have ports 4000 and 4001 port forwarded (and have checked the port forward checkbox). I have also tried it with my firewall turned off with no change.

Anything I can do to fix the problem??

Cheers.

I was slightly faster :)

What you can do right now: I don't think it is possible to tell Steam to downgrade, but you can install the regular demo version and use your steam key to authenticate that. You find your steam key in (steamdir)\SteamApps\common\multiwinia\authkey, which is a simple text file.

Right, thanks. I'll give that a try.

Of course it works, but for now the steam version of the game is no longer playable.
Will it be fixed?
