[1.0.6 retail] The Last Stand skipping problem

Every time I play this map, either online or against bots, it skips around every couple of seconds. It freezes very fast and continues on.

1)'Start' windows button
2)'Run ...' or the search bar in Vista
3)Type 'dxdiag.exe' in the 'Open' textbox and press the 'Ok' button

I'm sorry, I forgot to return to this thread.

I guess it was a corrupted install. I reinstalled the game and everything was kosher, no problems. And to think I lived with that bug since release.
edit: i just read a post (http://forums.introversion.co.uk/multiw ... php?t=2052) that said maps are hash checked? so could install corruption still be the problem?

I just started another game of same map, since I only tested it once after the reinstall, and I notice I still get this weird frame skip/stuttering problem bu this time it occurs far less frequently and is easier to ignore. Also, my video drivers are "new" but I just saw there's an 8.9 version (I have 8.8) so I'll download that and report back.
