Looking back on the history of Darwinia Supulva mentions that the Darwinians accidently unleashed the virus while using their trunk port communication device. They began downloading e-mails willy-nilly and a few of them ended up entering Darwinia. What if those e-mails weren't an accident. I might be completely wrong on this but a there was a company that was hackable in the game Uplink called Darwin Research Associates (or something like that).
If you play the game and check the news often enough you may notice a news report mentioning something about the code for digital life being stolen from Darwin. So what if Uplink or an Uplink agent stole the data, and what if that agent placed e-mails containing a "nasty form of virus" in Supulvas computer for the very purpose of destroying Darwinia so that the agents employers can claim that they have the only true digital form of life.
There is a kinda-sorta relation between Darwinia and Uplink so this leads me to believe that the events of Multiwinia (never ending war, mass genocides ect.) were caused by an Uplink agent or Uplink itself. So what if Uplink returns to finish the job? What if they modified the genetic code template for the innocent Darwinian and created their own army? A possible future occurence or just plain nonsense? Nonsense or not It would be the greatest Multiwinia battle of all time. Besides such a battle would require all four major Multiwinian tribes to unite against a common foe, thus ending their war that is slowly destroying their world.

Darwinia and Uplink may be set in the same universe, but the exact link between the two is unclear. And the name is Sepulveda, not Sepulva.
