Multiwinia Engine Vs Darwinia Engine

Postby Theruler » Mon Dec 08, 2008 2:49 pm

Sorry if it has been already discussed, but I haven't found anything useful with search feature.

I am an Enthusiast Darwinia User, and a very Happy Multiwinia Demo (1.2.4) user (question: will there a chance to see the boxed game in stores as it was for darwinia? In Italy Multiwinia has not been showed up yet).

Anyway, is it my impression or Multiwinia Engine works better than the Darwinia one?
I don't know if it is the same engine or a modification (I think so) but I am quite sure (two games, same machine) the code performs better.

Is it a chance to use the new improved engine to run Darwinia?
Have someone been thoght about a bonus feature for Darwinia/Multiwinia owners to play Darwinia as Multiwinia module or something like that?

I heard about Darwinia+... but non-xbox360 owners?

Only thoughts, don't blame me... I am a noob! ;-)

Retail deals take time. It's possible it'll pop up, but nobody knows right now.

Probaby just your impression. MW maps are typically smaller than Darwinia levels and less busy from the start; and when Futurewinians arrive in masses or that magical forest catches fire, the framerate takes a dive even in Multiwinia.

Possible, but highly unlikely. I don't know how the code looks, but I somehow don't think it'll be that easy to take improvements or new effects from Multiwinia to Darwinia.
