Hi, I think it would be very beneficial to Multiwinia to add a crate chance setting for specific types of drops.
Say even have an option to ensure that a Evilwinian and/or a Futurewinian crate is dropped within the first five minutes of that game.
For example having the means to host a game where turrets and airstrikes have the highest chance of dropping.
Are the developers up for putting this in a game a bit forgotten? I hope they have enough time, and hope that it wouldn't take very long to implement. It just would be nice to have the opportunity to host a public game like that. If anyone agrees please voice your support.
Specific Crate drop settings

The map files allow you to disable certain crates completely, and there's the 'basic crates only' option. And really, lowering the chance that the high impact crates land would make their eventual appearance even worse by the lowered chance of an appropriate counter.
We had a 'allow the user to cherry pick crates' discussion a way back, by the way. Can't find it now, though.

Although it does bring up a good idea for an optional game mode "ending". Use it on domination maps where its very easy to fortify and hold positions. Players spend the first part of the games as normal but with an extra incentive to conserve units. Crates during this time period should be weighted towards defensive powerups. Then after a a certain period of time the contents of the crates change to more hazardous, apocaleptic types eg superplague, uncontrollable metors, severe infection etc. Players wont know when this happens until the crates are opened. The idea is to then survive the longest.
An extra possibility could be that after the crate change occurs, if crates arent opened then instead of being destroyed they become something akin to the spam mails of darwinia, thus forcing you to choose how the world ends.
