Subversion is a game!?

Postby GreenRock » Fri Aug 14, 2009 3:50 am

What exactly is subversion going to be? is it just this nice software that gives the player some eye-candy? Or will there be actual gameplay?

There is only one person who can answer that for you, and he constantly changes his mind about the answer. You will know what it is when the rest of us know. One thing's for sure - it wont be simply eye candy.
Also, this question would be better if it was in the Lounge or one of the Blog entries

It's a professional development exercise. You see, what will actually happen is that IV will go under approximately 2 months before the game is in any state to be played, whereupon "hackers" will "steal" the code from Chris' "highly secure" computer that "almost never sees an internet connection". From here, the code will become widely available and SOMEONE will most likely try to make sense of the profanity and illogical spaghetti and make an Extreme Ping Pong game with a fully interactive enviroment, allowing games where tripwires, automatic doors and dynamite aren't the only hazards.

I don't know if you guys noticed this or not, but if you look closely at this screenshot http://www.introversion.co.uk/blog/proto2002a.jpg it says "Freelance Subversion". Sort of reminds me of being a Freelance Hacker in Uplink. Hmm...I wounder......
