Nah, I got it too, and I lurk on the forums now and then but I'm not exactly a longstanding member here. Also, you've beaten me before so it can't just be for good people either! :p It must just be a newsletter thing.

Like Mas Tnega said, anyone that didn't get it could easily figure out where to look next just from this thread....

I'm going to be honest. 0/0 is still better than 1/god-knows-how-many.

Also, the beta isn't that glamorous or fun. LIES

It really must. I'd only find it in that second e-mail account because of my sorely underused sockpuppet.

/facepalm...

Begging for something doesn't automatically "get you in". You have to have somewhat of a good record with Introversion, be active all the time, and being helpful and contributing. For instance, I knew that somewhere down the road I might be able to test something, and that's Introversion's SpaceNavigator beta stage. I got mine for free in return for working on a 2-minute video, which I currently am about to finish up.

I gotsed the email... giving away beta positions as prizes does not sound like a good plan to me - sounds like a good way to get 100 people playing the game but not reporting any bugs. I certainly hope that's not the only group of testers they'll be taking.

Playing Multiwinia with X-fire AND Steam is painful!

It keeps having weird glitches, like the other day I could only type in lower case if I had caps-lock engaged. No letters happened at all if I didn't! Shift still gave me capitals.

I guess I must have signed up for the newsletter at some point. Probably when I bought Uplink via the introversion site.

Damn, I hope I didn't miss out on all this Beta excitement, my computer boarded the failboat and got a free virus. It killed all my exe files, and I've only just got it back up and running after three days of exile.
