My favorite captain is ECH (Emergency Command Hologram)
:P

Never really watched Star Trek, as my household has no television.
For that matter, I never really watch much television of any kind.

Star Trek, though, is one show I actually miss not ever seeing.

One of my favourite episodes overall for the sheer silliness involved.

DS9 is the best of all of them; all praise the Sisko.

Conveying this ENTIRELY CORRECT AND INCONTRAVENABLE FACT often gets me in trouble.

Oh, really guys. If there's a gay Star Trek captain, then it's Janeway. :P

I like Virgin Media's adverts for Voyager:

"141 crew members"
"A female captain"
"They're totally lost"
"Coincidence?"
"We think not!"
(all in good fun of course, no serious sexism intended)

Seriously, if Kirk told me to do something, I'd probably do it after he beat me up a little. If Janeway told me to do something, I'd probably just look at her and walk away. If Picard told me to do something, I'd damn well do it, while simultaneously shitting myself in awe.

I can't speak for DS9, I've not really watched it :<

If Kirk told me to do something, his awesome would have made sure I'd already done it.
If Picard told me to do something, I'd giggle to myself about a French Yorkshireman with a Shakespearean accent.
If Sisko told me to do something... I don't know. I mostly remember his baseball love, his man-crush on Kirk and most importantly, the rest of the cast.
If Janeway told me to do something, I'd mishear it and assume it was "Put the kettle on". I doubt I'd be too far off.

It probably wouls have been to put the kettle on, she loves coffee and machines hate her.

I have watched nearly all of Voyager, 2/3 of TNG, 1/3 of DS9, Enterprise up to just after the destroy that giant weapon thats flying to earth controlled by the reptilians, and only a couple of TOS.

My mother recorded everything I saw from TV so that explains why I haven'y seen more TOS.
The Enterprise stoyrline got too tangled up in itself.
TNG, TOS and voyager are allright because they dont require you to know a everchanging storyline.
I liked DS9 a lot but I missed 3 episodes a bit after the dominion war started and didn't have a clue what was going on afterwards so I stopped watching it.

To continue on from waht Mas said:
If Janeway's first officer told me to do something, I would have a chat about why I should do it before actually doing it.
If Archer told me to do something, I would wait fo confirmation from the Vulcan High Command, which would arrive right after the water polo game.

Edit: I'm surprised that it took this long to start a Star Trek conversation

One has a point there, I never understood why and man from the otherside of the hills is playing a French man. Maybe the English did invade France at somepoint

I thought this might be more for the Enterprise people

If Archer was transported into a hostile environment , I'd expect his next two words to be "Oh boy." and cut to that cheesy open sequence.

Pish. Goes to show what you know. No one "teleports" in Star Trek -- they "transport." Duh. :P
