I've only watched the first 8 minutes of that video, however I can already say with 100% confidence that I will buy this game as soon as it is released! It looks like the most creative and engaging game I've ever seen!

I hope they release this after my A-Levels are finished, otherwise I will get U's in all my subjects again :(

Alright, so what do you think he says at 4:25?

I don't think he's really saying anything. Besides, why would he present this fact like an easter egg? And numerous people have pointed out to me why an MMO is extremely unlikely for Subversion... Crap, I can't believe I really got excited about that..

He's referencing the fact that most MMOs have buggy beta releases, and how Subversion isn't even that far along yet. So there.

Hmm, I guess that might be it, but it's a strange reference in my opinion, does it hint to something!?

No.

MMOs have buggy beta releases.
Subversion is more buggy than an MMO beta release.
It does not follow that Subversion will be an MMO.

Well, he could just have said pre-alpha or something, I dunno, it's not the most common reference imo.

To be fair, MMO's are probably amongst the few games that get an early public beta (what few other games get public betas are usually feature complete multiplayer focused games looking to tweak balance). Saying it's not at that level is just referencing a standard many people would be able to identify.

Seems like they've got a bunch of the design work done and a great deal functioning. It will be interesting to see what they do with the overworld, and if they'll actually add a chase system. That sounds like a tough target to shoot for for such a game. But, should they succeed, it should be very interesting.

there's a whole world out there

I was becoming concerned that the whole procedural city-generation thing no longer fitted in to the game.

At the end of this video Chris says "at this point if we had developed any further police cars would be screaming in ...begin what would be an awesome chase scene"

Please please let that mean Chris intends this to live in one of those generated cities we saw. The game as demonstrated is neat but as part of an immersive world it would be awesome.
