Let's play a game!

The place to hang out and talk about totally anything general.

You get one by joining the military, then spend two years working papers.

I wish humanity had a cheap and virtually endless source of energy.

The best way to avoid suspension is to avoid violence. However, I teach at a university, where such an assault would likely land you jail, rather than in the principal's office.

You get it, but you have to fill in paperwork after each death. Lots.

I wish Hollywood was more about artistry.

Not sure myself, but I have to warn you there's a very high probability of xander's answer containing maths.

Wish granted, it's called "Sun".

Hollywood's output is now dominated by black and white silent films consisting of non sequiturs of inscrutable symbolism.

I wish to be fluent in all languages.

You already are - your language skill depends on available amount of cash.

Personally I don't understand Laika's answer to Xocrates. I also don't quite understand his wish (or rather, it is too general to be made into anything amusing, even remotely). So I'll just answer Xocrates's question. Stay off drugs, kids.

Granted. You are now also fluent in the language of Korgecof, a distant civilization on another solar system. On your first attempt to speak the language, half your internal organs explode from not being properly equipped for these motions.

I wish for a full-sized laptop that can also fit in my pocket.

Granted, it is now a law eforced by fascist totalitarian regime.

I wish all kind of paperwork would write itself.

Granted. But the paperwork became sentient and plotted to overthrow it's masters.

I wish we had blueprints for all of Nikola Tesla's inventions.

Granted but they were used in a world war to destroy humanity.

I wish people would get on with it and colonize space.

Granted humanity has colonized mars but the earth implodes leaving the colony as the last remanent of life.

I wish people cared for each other more.

Granted, but now everyone tries to hold the door open for everyone else and let them go first, resulting in massive human traffic congestion across the whole earth.

I wish I lived in the Star Trek universe, at the time of Voyager.

I wish I lived in the Star Trek universe, at the time of Voyager.

You suddenly find yourself aboard a Federation Starship, preparing to transport down to a hostile alien planet. Your uniform is red. You briefly consider your chances of survival as the transport engineer prepares to beam you down. The thought is never completed, and your atoms are spread across the universe in a freak malfunction of the Heisenberg Compensator.

I wish that I had gills and could remain underwater for long periods of time without breathing.
