Back from Play Expo where Introversion were showing off Prison Architect (tutorial only) on four computers that were full for most of the times I saw them.
Other things of note:
Oculus Rift: I want one! Played Hawken on it and it works so well (though the non-inverted joypad took a minute to get used to).
Assassin's Creed IV: I captained a ship that blew apart a fort (after once again struggling with a non-inverted joypad). Awesome!
Dead Souls II: I suck at that game. Should be fun for people that play that sort of game (dammit, what's with all the joypads not being set up how I like?).
TxK: Vector-based graphics in neon colours (basically Tempest 2000). You expected something else from Jeff Minter?
Nintendo: Had a few games. Didn't play any of them.
Other indie games: Democracy 3, Redshirt and FPS Creator.
Lots of classic games to play. Lots of classic games, computers and consoles on sale. Really impressive costumes (my favourite was the three Magicka wizards). Bunch of stalls selling Japanese stuff that I'm not interested in.
Freebies:
Prison Architect polaroid (same one as shown on the Polaroid page on the Prison Architect wiki)
Dead Souls II double-sided poster
Premier League Gaming polo shirt
Nintendo had some free stuff you could get by spinning a "swag wheel". Couldn't be bothered queuing up for it.

Re: Back from Play Expo
I am really looking forward to seeing how FPS Creator Reloaded turns out. I remember the first one. Was a lot of fun to toy around with, and you could do some nifty things with it using scripting. But it had so many limitations and problems it was essentially a fancy level designer for a shoddy engine (I won't list them unless anyone wants as I don't want to leave a negative tone on the upcoming release). Hopefully, this will turn out better, but if it's going to they really need to focus on customization and scripting. Without it everyone's games will look the same.

You know - CoD fans with the overpriced glop they buy every year sold by a publisher that cares nothing for artistry.

Let me fix you. They care about their fans demand...It is said that million fans demand new call of duty every year, so Activision has no choice to dissapoint their fan...So they create cod every year...It is lightest fps anyways.

With their resources, they could create almost any game they wanted. But instead they screw their customers over just too little so the majority won't complain. There is almost no innovation, creativity, or plain artistry whatsoever in the franchise anymore. Even the graphics barely advance with them re-using assets from MW1! Of course, the CEO Bobby Kotick said that he wishes game prices are even higher.

Arts is fine, but look for gameplay, its gameplay is better than BF4, excluding graphics.
