The live debate was interesting, I'm still undecided who to vote for. The idea of brown getting in and fucking up the country a bit more has me terrified, so it's between Lib dems or conservatives for me. I'm leaning conservative at the moment, Cameron was more convincing in the debate.

The problem I have with the tories is contradiction.
Smaller govt but politicise the police ?
Less power to the EU but devolve schooling to disgruntled parents?
Tax breaks for the rich folk who caused the recession?
Nick Clegg hit the nail on the head...the old parties have had 65 years to get it right.
Could you provide a little more information on those different policies ynbiniar?I don't know the proposals of all the parties, and I'm struggling to see how some of those are really contradictory :/

Specific policies I'm concerned about...
Elected police chiefs - doesn't fit in with Conservative aim of smaller govt and will create a tier of "politician" police. Also I'd rather have a police chief who can do the job effectively not one who can campaign for the job effectively.
Local people can challenge Local Authority decisions - why is handing over power to the EU bad but diluting Local Authority power good? Just 5% of a community can cripple local government...I dread to think what will happen in areas where the BNP can rally 5% of support.
National Insurance Increase - giving this tax break to big business puts the fragile economic recovery in the hands of the rich and powerful. This is tried and failed trickle down economics and I'm not sure our companies, some of whom make obscene profits, some of whom are responsible for the global financial mess, are the best people to trust to "trickle down" wealth, prosperity and growth.
Labour have made a mess of things for sure and deserve to be kicked out for a number of reasons but I'm not convinced changing them for Cameron's lot will improve things any...unless you happen to be well off, enjoy killing wild animals with dogs or are an unelected hereditary peer.
