Back on the original topic (sort of)

I just found out that Dawn of War 2 will have a multiplayer beta released through Steam on the 21 january if you have soulstorm and on the 28 if you don't.

I have no idea how you get it though :P , but seems more like a sort of multiplayer demo (five maps and all four races)

Plus several hundred for the otherwise useless console? ;0

That's weird. World of Goo is 19.99 CAD on steam but only 1500 points (15 CAD) on the Wii.

Anyone played it? It's got good reviews, been putting off getting it.

Demo was good fun, I'm thinking of buying the full version too... it's a simple concept, but very well executed.

Good point

And I'd forgotten about DoWII, thanks for the reminder ;)

Yes, it's fantastic. Buy it. Buy it now.

Reasonably easy to complete, but then there's the Obsessive Completion Distinction awards to go back and get (complete levels within a set time/number of moves/with a certain number of goo balls remaining). Plus it's just so, so lovely and charming! I've heard that the Wii remote works well for it too, although presumably there will be user-made levels for the PC version (I got it in the Steam sale).

Sweet, it's on my list.

The game for 2009 I'm looking forward to is "Marble Saga: Kororinpa" by hudson soft. I just spent 100 bucks to get the out of print original back in my collection.

I don't do a ton of games any more and not as many games appeal to me for some reason.

While I don't think 2dboy is going to be releasing a level editor or supporting usermade levels this was made by the community. And jingle balls is the only really quasi-polished level out yet.

You mean you don't have it yet?

Shame on you...

Really, it's a really fun game, and probably one of the best designed I've ever played, nothing is out of place.

Double post \o/

Does anyone know anything about Demigod?

It seems interesting, but Gas Powered Games doesn't really have a good record for games I like.

I loved it. I hated the fact that it most definitely a must to have a dual core CPU to play it.
