How about some lounge music?

The place to hang out and talk about totally anything general.

How about some lounge music?

Postby Mr. Roboto » Wed Feb 08, 2006 1:28 am

No, I didn't mean that kind of lounge music, though if it was possible to stream some Richard Cheese in here...

Really, some relaxing Uplink-type music for the lounge that can be streamed whenever you enter this forum, or via Winamp or iTunes. Like an Introversion netradio. MMMmmm... Introversion netradio.

Maybe I'm asking for too much? Oh, well... Hey, bartender... how 'bout a Jolt or Mountain Dew here?

in that case, leave a "lounge music" option, and put the good darwinia music in it.

Unless it's done really well, no.

I'd be for it if it was well done and there was an option for people with crappy connections.
And this seems strange having the 2 communities meet like this. I stayed away from the Darwinia forums, so sadly enough (prolly good for them though) they have no idea who i am.

Many of the people in the Darwinia forums are also posters in the Uplink forums. Almost all of the biggest posters, infact.

But they joined the Uplink forums before darwinia, like Mr. Roboto :)

No, please no. Intrusiveness is the biggest faux pas of web design, and having some site blare music out your speakers when you're already listening to something else is really, really annoying. So no, please no.

You could always get the Uplink music yourself and play it in Winamp.

Well, maybe someone could add a RadioBlog. It opens on a popup only if you want to, and it's fast loading...

For the record, I don't have one.
