Darwinia+ Launch Event: Feb 19th

In the past Introversion launch parties have been something of a manic, drunken affair. We’d get our DJ pals to turn up, we’d dress up in crazy costumes, hire magicians and generally go a bit nuts. Well we’ve all gone and got grown up (TJ turned 31 yesterday) and to celebrate our new found gravitas and sophistication we have decided to celebrate the launch of Darwinia+ within the hallowed halls of BAFTA.

The event (which isn’t on the day of launch – you’ll have to wait a little longer for confirmation of that) takes place on Friday the 19th of February (6.30 for 7) at BAFTA – 195 Piccadilly, London. We’ll have Darwinia+ on show and Chris and I will talk a little about the history of Darwinia+ and how much fun we had bringing it over to the 360.

Rather than just banging on about Darwinia+ all night, Dave from BAFTA decided to make us justify our decision to move away from PC and he drafted in Kieron “Jeremy Paxman” Gillen from RPS to give us a good old grilling about whether the PC is better than the 360. Kieron has told me that he wants to enlist the help of the audience – so bring your opinions.

Despite our attempts to grow up, we’ve never managed it in the past so I’m sure we’ll be decamping to a local hostelry afterwards and those of you of firm constitution and debauched nature are more than welcome to join us for the after-party (more details on the night).

Times are tough and BAFTA charge £5 for entry, but this includes a free drink so there are no possible grounds for complaint. You need to register here and once that’s done you can sit back and look forward to a great evening.

We really hope to see you all!

Grown up IV sounds interesting...will any of this make it on to RPS for those of us who can't make it to London or don't have a debauched nature :?:

That does all sound very mature and sincere, especially a talk on the "fun" of the port.

I'm tempted, but I'm travelling to London the two weekends either side of this one, and am not sure I fancy the expense too much.

Damn it! I'm busy that day. (Yes having your wisdom teeth removed is more of an inconvenience than the 16,855 km trip there). Oh well, enjoy guys.

You are expected to wear nothing but a loincloth.
