I got my order sorted out by this guy in a cafe, after he took away my cat ears and tail, and later £34.

Suffice to say, I have no freaking clue how that one's going.

Urgh. It comes out so soon, but my copy hasn't shipped yet! I was number 13 - that could have something to do with it. Does shipping to Denver, CO, USA take a long time?

Will (person who deals with shipping) was taking a well deserved holiday. Be patient, it will be mailed to you.

The one thing that irks me a tiny bit about valve's method is that I find the CD just becomes entirely redundant, given that I never ever have to use it to play or install the game.
Can they have a mandatory CD in drive thing to make me feel better? ;)

Will the hard copy of the game come with the serial (eg. in the manual) or is it compulsory to get it from the net.

If that is so then I will be really unhappy as unless the serials become available on the stroke of midnight GMT I wont be able to play it for at least a week as that is how long I will be away from the internet.

The same reason everything is so expensive here, i.e. because the distributor can get away with it.

I didn't preorder it, I won it, so I hadn't read anything. I just read it then. No complaints.
