We have launched patch v1.42 for Defcon! We recommend all Defcon users download and install this new patch as soon as possible, as it fixes some fairly major bugs with the recent v1.4 release.
Download patch v1.42 (windows version)
Steam users : you will be automatically updated with this patch later today.
Mac users : you can download version 1.42 from Ambrosia's Defcon page.
Once again we are sorry for the bugs that crept into v1.4 a couple of weeks ago.
Here is a full list of all problems fixed in v1.42:
-some serious performance problems related to fleet activity (resulting in choppy frame rate)
-Bugs with City Assignment (negative city populations etc)
-Radar not working properly in the pacific (over the seam)
-Placing a unit over the seam sometimes caused ships to vanish
-Nuke queue counter was often wrong
-Word wrapping in the chat window could go very wrong with long strings

I think you forgot the "ships get stuck" in the list of fixes, nonetheless, good work! Got my copy of 1.42... Keep it up!
Edit: my mistake!

This bug only occurred in beta versions between 1.4 and 1.42, caused by a bug our optimisations of fleet movement. v1.4 doesn't have this problem.
Linux?
Hi Chris, any news on the Linux version?
Already using it
Hi, I'm already using that version, not sure if the slowdowns could be caused by Win/Mac users having problems at the other end? Or does the final version include yet more fixes?
