Imperial College Talk 17th May
Chris and Mark will be presenting at Imperial College in London, on 17th May. We will be talking for about 45 minutes about Introversion and our beliefs on the Games Industry, and we're scheduled to go on stage at 2.45pm, right after Peter Molyneux.
Last year Mark and Tom presented at Imperial College with the topic "how to leave Imperial College and not become a banker", and we enjoyed it so much we decided we simply had to come back this year.
More details can be found here:

If you're in London stop by and say hello.

Goddam you guys are doing a lot of walkabouts recently aren't you? This could well be the year IV break into the big time.
Question is, do you want to?

Why do I always find out at the last minute?
Maybe (maybe)... I can make it... Nobody cares but:
Leicester - London (Coach)
06:35 09:50 3hrs 15min
London Victoria to London South Kensington... 1 stop
5 minute walk to campus.
Now to see if my housemate wants to come too... Anyone else think they can make it? I'll bring my camera phone along; not great quality, but I can get about 30 mins of video. Hopefully long enough for IV.

Thats quite a long journey. Why not get a ticket to London Kings Cross/St Pancras with underground travel? You'll then be able to catch a midline mainland direct from Leicester to London, which would only be about 1.5 hours worth of travel, max.
It might also be far cheaper

Ok, well, I booked everything before I read that...so damn! Getting an earlier coach to London, so that we get there in time for the start. Mmmmm, 4:55am start. LOL. We're gonna stay overnight at my house in Oxford rather than getting a train straight back to Leicester again.
I spoke to the people organising the event about recording, and they kindly responded very quickly!
So basically I just need to get to the IV guys before the event starts and ask them... I'll try and figure out who they are (haven't met them before), perhaps they will be wearing obvious t-shirts!
Hopefully my housemate will take his laptop and my webcam, I'll also take along my camera phone to catch any quick-moments. If there is a recording made available afterwards, I'll definitely buy it, and speak to them about making it available to you guys.
Anyone else coming from the Uplink forum team?

Hi David,
We may be recording the event ourselves - in which case I would ask that you obtain a copy from us afterwards.
If we are unable to record it, we think it would be acceptable for you to record it yourself, provided that:
* you have checked with the speakers you plan to record, and this occurs in advance of the talk rather than interrupting the session at the start
* your equipment does not block the view of those behind you
* you take reasonable measures not record others in the room inadvertently
Please also be aware that the number of registrations received well exceeds the capacity of the main lecture theatre, and an overspill room will be used with a video feed from the main room, so you may wish to arrive in good time.
Hope you enjoy the event!
cheers
