Just wondering if introversion even selects people applying 3 month after the call.
Well... hoping... ;)

It is quite probable that IV will keep selecting people every one in a while until the game is done being tested. So, while you are a bit late, you still have a chance, I suppose.

As there still is a chance to be added to the beta-test, just a quick question:
I have got 3 Pcs, one of them Dual-Boot Windows/Linux. As applying several times overwrites the previous apply, which of the possible 4 systems should I use?

You should use the Windows boot. As Defcon is only available for Windows right now.

Yeah, but if my understanding is correct, it is unlikely that too many more Windows testers will be needed (though you could always hope). I would sign up with a Linux box, myself, on the theory that when the Linux version is nearly done, Linux testers will be needed. It means that you have to wait longer to "play" the game, but if you are supposed to be testing, the point is not to have fun :)

No. Right now, the Windows version of Defcon is being tested. Beta testing for the Mac and Linux versions has not even begun yet. Based on the Darwinia release, I would imagine that Mac Defcon is at least two, probably three or four, months away, assuming that the first betas began tomorrow. As Defcon is not quite as complicated a game (I think -- I could be wrong), it is possible that testing will go much faster than Darwinia, which would/could significantly reduce that time estimate.

Of course you need to sign up first....but I doubt they will add any testers for the windows version.
