[Solved] Mouse buttons laggy ingame

Postby Lulu » Sat Nov 10, 2007 9:40 pm

Hey all,

My mousebuttons have a delay of 0.3 seconds ingame. If I select a unit I have to hold down a mouse button for two seconds until the button is recognized as pressed.

It's not just laggy, pressing something and releasing the button will not lead to a response two seconds later.

The game menu works perfect although. And the game isn't laggy at all, it runs really fast.

I got gentoo linux.

Anyone has a idea?

Never had such a behavior ever in a program,

Thank you!

edit: Just tested again, it's only like 0.3 seconds but still unplayable.

I had this problem running Compiz with Indirect Rendering, but went away when I turned that off (yay for loose-binding). What WM are you using, and what graphics card/drivers do you have?

I have a ATI Fire GL 5200 card and I'm using XFCE as window manager.

I'm using the fglrx driver from ati. With glxgears I have like 2500 fps. glxinfo shows direct rendering as enabled.

edit: Bert, I tried your fix but it didn't change anything. :-(

Okey, I found it out.

For some stupid reason Emulate 3 Button was enabled in xorg.conf with 200 ms delay. Just disable this option or reduce the delay and it works fine.
