Oh, didn't know there are other dwarfs besides Pluto.

There are tons. I believe that was much of the justification for changing Pluto's classification---there are so many little objects out in the Kuiper belt that are basically just like Pluto, and it was unreasonable to call them planets. The option was to "delist" Pluto, or come up with a really complicated definition to include these objects. Frankly, much as I like Pluto, I think that the right decision was made. :)

Oh yeah, while the whole dwarf planet was brought up mostly due to Pluto's status being questioned, there was also Ceres, Eris, Makemake and Haumea. The latter two are Kuiper Belt Objects, which really cast doubt on Pluto being a true planet.
